A Glasgow based space technology engineer, academic, and director working at the interface between academia, industry, & government.
Supporting Science & Engineering communication to make it more easily accessible, especially to under-represented groups, I provide comment to national & international, specialist & mainstream media, across written word, audio, & visual.
Committed to both education & public engagement, I'm happy moderating, chairing, or speaking at anything from outreach events, local branches of professional societies, through to international technology, innovation, & space conferences.
Enabling & developing new space-derived services through advancing a range of technologies, my work has an end-to-end focus on the development & application of systems, challenging conventional ideas & working at the interface between disciplines.
Spanning basic research to applied engineering, commercialisation, roadmapping, & policy, in both multi-national & locally focused teams, I offer a unique perspective having worked in, as well as at the interface between, academia, industry, & government.
